DW question in Daily Telegraph quiz

Post by Steve Whatley »

Don't get too excited, but in the Weekend section of The Daily Telegraph today, question 20 of the Pubquiz (sic) set by Gavin Fuller is: 'Who was the master spy created by Dennis Wheatley in a series of 12 novels set at the time of the French Revolution?'

So the saga has not been completely forgotten...

It was probably just the right number of letters. (I don't know the puzzle...) :(

Jim, it is just a quiz, so the answer doesn't have to fit in with anything else. But I agree that would seem a likely reason for including a DW question in, say, a crossword puzzle.

There are twenty numbered questions (of various degrees of difficulty), plus another - tagged on at the end - which rejoices under the title of 'Snorter of the week'!!!

I doubt very much whether many people under forty know the DW answer.
