Seems a strange thing to put on Ebay - would it not be better suited to an auction?

Well, eBay is an auction; maybe the fees there are less than with a traditional auction house. Personally, I think he'd be better off consigning it to the wonderful Biblio shop in London, but I got an e-mail yesterday that he's put it up again (at the same price).Sir_Dan_of_Cure wrote:Seems a strange thing to put on Ebay - would it not be better suited to an auction?

Sorry - should have been clearer - I meant an auction house! At least there you're more likely to get focused bidders whose attention has been drawn to the item by PR, as opposed to typical Ebayers, who I cannot imagine bidding that much for an item.
If only I had a spare £10k floating around...

It's amazing what some eBay auctions fetch--not this one, however, which has just ended for the second time without a single bid.
[Added February 9: It's up again--for the fifth time--but finally with some detailed photographs. It is quite a nice collection...both editions of Justerini's, and he even has a copy of Total War. <sigh> ]
