New 'member-postings' rules

Post by Bob Rothwell »

As a result of me increasingly having to clean-up/delete spam-type messages and ?members? only pretending to join to advertise their dodgy sites, I propose to restrict future postings to logged-in members only.

Should this present a problem to anyone, please let me know before I implement the change during the week-end of 22/23 October.

I don't see why that should be a problem for any of the legitimate members here. Even people with something to sell (Wheatley-related) should not be averse to "joining," if they're on the up-and-up.

I belong to many message boards, and all the moderators say a major part of their job is cleaning up after the vandals and children who have nothing better to do than cause havoc...

I agree with all thats been said.

If these sad people want to wreck things for the genuine members then we should do everything we can to get rid of them.
