Apocalypse? No.

Post by Cibator »

Well, whatever the Mayans might have predicted, they obviously forgot to include little old NZ in it. We're still here, and thriving. How's everybody else? Halloo-oo-oo ......

I hate to break it to you, but the giant, fire breathing vampire bats have emerged from the core of the Earth and destroyed the rest of civilisation, so I'm afraid that it's just you and the rest of NZ left to begin the human race again...

I suspect that given a few days to collect themselves, fans of the apocalypse will tell us that there was a slight miscalculation and the REAL end of the World will be upon us next week or next month or next year. When the Mayans are discredited and gone the way of the Millennium Bug, has anyone any suggestions as to what the next big end of the world scare will be?

Maybe a new edition of 'Sixty Days To Live' with a huge publicity campaign?

A more topical book would be "they found Atlantis".

Hope everyone is warm, dry and safe with all preperations done and awaiting the festivities to begin.
