HAPPY HALLOWEEN!

Post by Garry Holmes »

Happy Halloween to you all!

Of course, if I were DW I would probably tell you that I have never myself 'trick or treated', and believe that to do so could put you at genuine risk....

I wonder what he would make of the way that Halloween has become a sort of commercialised, Americanised thing in recent years.

Garry, I like it...

I doubt very much whether DW would have approved of all this American nonsense, though I suppose it is harmless fun for youngsters. In an old letter which I recently obtained, DW agreed that his correspondent had made a good decision not to spend his retirement in the United States, saying that 'their ways are not ours' - I think that puts it in a nutshell!

Regards, Steve

Hmmmm, this looks like it could become a yearly thing.

Happy Halloween, everybody!!!

And whatever you do, don't leave the chalk circle. Those people knocking at your door aren't kids, they're demons... :rofl

Well, so far I've met two witches and a Dalek, which must be some sort of record. The forces of evil are certainly gathering tonight, although no-one's knocked on my door so far. The spirit of avarice is sadly lacking in the younger generation nowadays.
