Doctor Strange of Marvel Comics fame was one of the other great literary (?) loves of my youth.

You will not therefore be surprised that I went and saw the movie with the superb Benedict Cumberbatch last week (twice - once in 2D and once in 3D :D ).

It was a great movie, and the reason for this post is that there are several great sequences featuring astral projection.

DW's Black Magic novels are just crying out for the modern big screen.

I got it from the library recently, and enjoyed it! (I too was a Marvel comics fan, and I like Cumberbatch. He was amazing as The Creature in the National Theatre Frankenstein.) My only complaint was that everything looked dark--possibly to conceal some of the CGI effects--and it was a bit of a strain to watch...
