I'm sorry for being so tardy with my seasonal greetings (I tend to be offline during the holiday period)- but let me assure you as to their warmth and sincerity. I wish you all every happiness and success for 2014.

May (DW's Christo-Buddhist) God bless you all!

Personally, I stuck to my favorite, beer. Which is Wheatley-ish, I guess, even if I wasn't building a brick wall all day beforehand. I don't go in much for sweet alcoholic drinks. Makes me feel a bit queasy. It may have something to do with the Everclear and fruit juice I once had some years ago. Just a theory.

I honestly don't know much about half of the beverages Wheatley mentions in his books. I had to look up hock, as I'd never heard that term before reading his books, but that was a good while back. Tokay, I have never had and I know little about it.

Am I just uncultured or is this stuff just that obscure these days?

Tokay is obscure - except to those who love sweet wines; to those who do, it's one of the best.

If you try it, maybe you'll become a convert.

We'll have to bring some more to the next Convention :D
