DW's Library

Post by Charles »

Someone has posted a short article on DW's Library on the net.

It's at http://www.bookride.com/2011/10/dennis- ... -1979.html

Quite interesting ... one day if no-one gets there before me, I'll do a more comprehensive job !

All best to all as always,

Very interesting. I own DW's copy of The Mystery of a Hansom Cab (item 1040 in the catalog), which was marked at £50 in 1979. I can't recall when I bought it--and have no idea how it made its way to New York City--but I'm pretty sure I paid less than that for it...

I'd completely forgotten about that manuscript concerning Gordon-Tombe. Imagine a new hardcover book, Lost Works of Dennis Wheatley, with that, the "Letter to Posterity," and Of Vice and Virtue.

I'd buy a copy!

and there was a follow-up comment on

http://www.lashtal.com/nuke/PNphpBB2-pr ... rt-0.phtml saying :

"There's an interesting feature on the excellent bookride website regarding Dennis Wheatley's library. I wonder what ever happened to Crowley's inscribed copy of Magick which he presented to Wheatley?"

Come to the Convention and you'll find out !
