dw gets a name check

Post by ken68 » Fri 30 May, 2008 22:54:35

did anyone else see dw get a name check in the metro today?

Iron Maiden frontman Bruce Dickinson's screenwriting debut is so terrible you quite love it.

A meek Cambridge don (Simon Callow) is, for reasons too ludicrous to explain, possessed by a reincarnation of Aleister Crowley, the real-life, sex-and-drug-crazed 1930s British satanist once dubbed The Wickedest Man In The World.

The plot is a deranged mishmash of quantum physics and Dennis Wheatley-style occultism that frankly sullies the good name of hokum.

Yet so-bad-it's-good fans will relish the sub-Doctor Who effects, creaky am-dram acting and veritable porn-ucopia of bare boobies.

Meanwhile, Simon Callow's performance as the willy-waving Crowley will have you gripped in excitement at the thought that he may actually explode as he bellows: 'Free yourself of your restrictive knickers!'

not sure about having dw and hokum in the same line but at least its a mention.
