DW's Birthday
DW's Birthday
In case any of you missed it, yesterday was the 111th anniversary of DW's birth, and this was picked up by The Times in its Anniversary section.
See http://www.timesonline.co.uk/tol/life_a ... 147603.ece for details.
All best !

When I read your note and saw that it was DW's 'Eleventy first' birthday yesterday I wondered if there may be some deep and meaningful esoteric significance to the 111 birthday. So, I rushed upstairs to dig out my copy of 'The Devil and all his works' and thumbed through to the numerology section to see if there was any connection with his special number. Alas, the number that is allocated to Dennis Wheatley is 8. C'est la vie!!!!
What was the date yesterday 08/01/08 add them together = 17 = 8.
What does this all mean you ask?? Probably that I've got nothing better to do......

This prompts the question, "Were all DW's books worth reading once?"
I know this suggests a traitor in the camp but there are some of DW's books that I will keep on re- reading i.e. TDRO, The Golden Spaniard, The Forbidden Territory, Sixty Days to Live and many more but I wouldn't bother with 'Old Rowley or Red Eagle' I much prefer his fiction.

Happy Birthday Dennis Wheatley once again!
Born in the Diamond Jubilee year of Queen Victoria.
Died in the Silver Jubilee year of H. M. Queen Elizabeth II.
And here's to his 115th Anniversary in the Diamond Jubilee year of H. M. Queen Elizabeth II.
Let's hope it's a splendid year for the Diamond Jubilee, for the Olympics and Paralympics, and for the 5th Dennis Wheatley Convention!
