I'm as sceptical about the return of Hammer as you are. As to the copyright dilemna....given the amount of good a film or TV adaption can do for an author, not to mention the question of cash, I can't believe any sensible person would turn down an offer from Hammer. Anyway, a good case could be made that since just about behind the scenes from the classic era of Hammer is either retired or dead,that this would be Hammer in name only, anyway.

Yes, I'm sure you're right about that. And remembering DW's love of publicity, I'm sure that would over-ride his distrust of Hammer if he knew of the change of personnel.
