I finally got this book. I have only read the first story so far. Not bad. I will probably read one story or so between other books. I am reading a biography right now, so maybe after that, I will read another (maybe two). I have actually bought quite a few books recently. So, it's tricky deciding w...

Thanks, Darren. Although, I don't really want a subscription. I would just like to get specific issues. I have found the new issue with Rollo on eBay. It comes from the UK, naturally. Unfortunately, that means I will end up paying a good bit more than the cover price. The seller's price is about 2 p...

I would pick this up, if only I could find it. Anybody know if this magazine is available in the U.S. anywhere? I've been aware of this magazine for a bit now, mostly because of Wheatley-related articles, of course. Still, I have not found it anywhere. Well, except maybe ebay, but I am interested in...

This book sounds pretty interesting to me as well. I think I will order it soon and check it out. Anthologies can be pretty fun. I am also a fan of old anthology films: The House That Dripped Blood, Trilogy of Terror, etc. There is a really crazy low, low, low budget shot-on-video anthology from Ger...

An interesting find

So after work today, I swung by my favorite local music store. While I was scanning the shelves in the metal section, a CD pretty much jumped out at me. It was a band called Cardinals Folly. The CD is called Such Power is Dangerous! and the last two songs listed are "Uncharted Seas" and &q...

I much prefer the malty taste to the really hoppy taste, the ones that taste like springtime. And by the way, we do use the word ale here, although since those pictures are in England, I should just assume any beer being consumed is an ale. Do you guys ever drink lagers? I would like to make my way ...

It has been a little while since I read Black August, but if I re-read it, which I likely will, I think I'll have a look at these photos first, just to get some basic grasp on the terrain. Even if we had places like these in the U.S., we'd probably tear them down to build some new monstrosity. Then ...

The crime dossiers are a pretty fun way to spend an afternoon, especially if it's raining or something like that (and since you're in England, it probably is). They're actually pretty challenging. At least the first two. I can't comment on the last two, as I haven't read them yet. The main advice I'...

I have always thought that England has some amazingly beautiful country-side areas. Too bad everybody there talks funny. I just noticed something about one of these places. Little Bentley, to be precise. There is a horror author by the name of Bentley Little, from Arizona, if memory serves...

I didn't even see the pictures with three books, just the one with the wine bottle and the two books. I can't help but think that he just thought the books looked classy with their fine "leather-like" covers and supreme pseudo-gilding. I would imagine he just found a stack of them at a yar...

Well, if anybody is wondering what the two books are in the picture, it looks like it's Gateway to Hell on the bottom and Ravishing of Lady Mary Ware on top.

Please tell me that I am not the only one who had to figure it out before looking away from that image.

I have to say I am a bit disappointed. When I saw this post, I thought maybe it was about me, but no.

Seriously, this case is pretty interesting, but it seems weird to remove Wheatley from it. It's been a bit since I read the details, but it seems a big thing to leave out.

Has anybody been able to get this book or is it just one of those books that comes out and nobody can ever find it?

Darren, where do you find this stuff? You're kind of like a Wheatley bloodhound. Maybe you have some extra sense. You just somehow know it's there. Crazy stuff.

I do recall a character from The Satanist who was from the U.S.A. He was a Navy guy, I think. I don't remember his name though, as it has been some years since I read the book, but he was an evil sort. Then there's Murder Off Miami, which I guess should count. Unless there's a Miami in the U.K. I wa...
