The Bear at Hungerford mentioned in the DRO is a good venue, and it has conference facilities. There is also a local Am Dram society, who are fairly professional and could bring some different Wheatley characters to life, (script to be submitted at a later date) The car chase in the DRO film was film...

Which book would be best for new readers?

If a younger member of your family, or your friends family were to ask you 'Which DW book would be the one to read first?' Which one would you recommend?

Next years Convention

Are we going to repeat our Convention next year? If so we ought to start turning over some ideas.

Thank you Esmond,
That was an awful lot of typing . I think I grasped the gist of your advice. Meanwhile I have had no more trouble, and I have ordered the book kindly recommended by Alan.
many thanks

Thank you for that Alan. Very much appreciated. I just can not believe it was only a dream because of the very real physical feelings of attack that I experienced (the punches and the arms round my neck) and yes I was scared. I do tend to come out fighting, in every area of my life (30 years self em...

Last night a Catholic Priest came to me on the Astral, and blessed every room in our cottage. (It did not look the same on the astral-but I knew where I was) One room was freezing cold and I could see my breath. The Priest used incense in every room which smelt beautiful. I thanked him and he left. M...

No Problems Thank God. I have been given some protection on the astral from friends and loved ones who have gone before, and last night I saw nothing at all and had no dreams of any sort. Thank you so much for your interest. I am going to have to learn how to look after myself more effectively, and ...

It's half past eleven on Tuesday evening, and I admit that I am slightly nervous of going to sleep, however I have found that asking for help from loved ones who have gone before seemed to give me an untroubled night last night. Maybe there was some point to all those childhood prayers. I have not re...

Astral Attack or a bad dream

I thought long and hard about adding this post, but I have decided to share my experiences with like minded people. I have been a member for a long time and have had the pleasure of meeting a number of members at the convention, so I hope you can accept that I am serious and not a nut case when I le...

I havn't smoked 250 cigs in my life and the champagne...well I could never afford it. I must admit that for a lad from South London born in 1952 a bottle of wine was the height of sophistication. I can afford to stay at the Midland in Manchester (occasionally) but I still carry with me a lot of the ...

Great Idea I'm up for it! If Cardinals Folly follows the layout of most smallerEnglish buildings that do not qualify as 'Stately Homes' it should be quite easy...OK from memory we have Kithchen quarters, servants quarters, kitchen, Library (of course) Marie Lou's sitting room upstairs. Bathroom upst...

Cardinals Folly

Where do you think DW got his inspiration for Richard Eatons' house Cardinals Folly? There is a fairly comprehensive description in DRO, and it would be fun to draw a plan of the house and the gardens. Not that I've got the time of course Charles can you hear me! Sharpen your pencil old freind we've...
